Armenia’s Aronian to compete in Norway Chess 2016

Armenian Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian will participate in Norway Chess 2016, which will be held from April 18 to 29 in the Norwegian city of Stavanger. 

But before that, Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, will compete in the Candidates Tournament to be held between March 10 and 30 in Moscow. 

The winner of this event, which has about a €420-thousand prize fund, will be the challenger for the 2016 World Chess Championship against the reining champion, GM Magnus Carlsen (Norway).
