FIFA: Armenia move up 7 spots

13:45   3 March, 2016

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have moved up seven places and are ranked 116th in the new FIFA standings, albeit they have not played any games since the issuing of the previous ranking.

The team’s earlier 30th ranking, however, was a record-breaking high for the country.

Armenia have not won in their last thirteen games, thus breaking another “record.”

There are no changes in the top ten of the latest FIFA World Ranking. Belgium still top the FIFA World Ranking, and they are followed by Argentina and Spain, respectively.

On March 25, Armenia will play host to Belarus, which are 64th in the latest FIFA World Ranking, in a friendly in capital city Yerevan.
