Armenia’s Avagyan advances to quarterfinals in Bulgaria

Armenia’s representative Aram Avagyan (56kg), who is a bronze medalist at the European championship, has advanced to the quarterfinals in the 67th International Boxing Tournament STRANDJA 2016, which is held in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia.

In his last bout, Avagyan defeated his Georgian opponent in all three rounds.

In the quarterfinals, he will face the representative of Belarus, informed the press service of the Boxing Federation of Armenia.

Two more athletes from Armenia will enter the ring on Thursday, and they will start their campaign from the quarterfinals.

Accordingly, Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg) and Narek Manasyan (91kg) will fight Bulgarian boxers.
