July 23 International Olympic Day

July 23 is the International Olympics Day for over 64 years. Paris held an international conference on July 23 in 1984 having hosted also French Baron Pierre de Coubertin. The latter introduced the modern version of the Olympic Games, held every four years.

International Olympic Committee has held 29 Summer and 21 Winter Olympics. London Olympics will kick off on July 27.
