Mkhitaryan receives Armenia Footballer of the Year award

Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan received the 2015 Armenia Footballer of the Year award.

“Armenian Player of the year 2015. Thank you!’ the 26-year-old midfielder commented on his Facebook account, and posted a respective photograph from the year-end festive reception by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).

FC Ararat Yerevan and Armenian national squad manager Varuzhan Sukiasyan also was awarded at the event, as he was recognized the Coach of the Year, the FFA website informed.
Mkhitaryan has been recognized Armenia’s football player of the year for the sixth time and fifth consecutive year.

Aside from the Golden Ball, he will also receive 4 million Armenian drams (approx. US$8,290).
