Armenia national football squad has new boss

YEREVAN. – FC Ararat Yerevan Head Coach Varuzhan Sukiasyan has been appointed manager of the national football team of Armenia.

Such a decision was made at Thursday’s meeting of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Executive Committee, the FFA website informed.

FFA President Ruben Hayrapetyan nominated Sukiasyan’s respective candidacy to the committee.

The 59-year-old specialist presented his plans, should he be designated to this position, and also responded to the respective questions posed by the committee members.

And upon a unanimous decision by the FFA Executive Committee, Varuzhan Sukiasyan was appointed head coach of the Armenian national football squad. 

Sukiasyan had taken helm at the team from 2000 to 2001 as well, and he has also worked with the national youth football squad of Armenia.
