FIFA: Armenia fall sharply

13:22   5 November, 2015

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have dropped 36 places and are ranked 127th in the new FIFA standings.

This is the squad’s worst ranking over the last five years.

The team’s earlier 30th ranking was record-breaking for the country.

Armenia have not won in their last thirteen games, thus they have broken another “record.”

Belgium, on the other hand, have topped the FIFA World Ranking for the first time in their history. Reining 2014 FIFA World Cup champions Germany are still in second place, whereas World Cup runners-up Argentina have dropped to third.
