Sinquefield Cup: Armenia’s Aronian wins first match

Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian (Armenia) started with a win his campaign at the 2015 Sinquefield Cup chess super tournament, which has kicked off in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

In the first round, Armenia’s top GM defeated Italian GM Fabiano Caruana (USA), who is the reining champion of this event.

In Round 2, Aronian will face GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France).
