European junior championships: Armenia’s Manukyan wins gold

Team Armenia won another gold medal at the Junior European Weightlifting Championships being held in Landskrona, Sweden.

This time Levon Manukyan was declared champion in the U17 62kg competition by lifting a combined weight of 253kg, informed the press service of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.

As reported earlier, Karen Margaryan had won the silver medal in the U15 69kg competition, as he had lifted a combined weight of 226kg.

Armen Grigoryan had taken first place by lifting a combined weight of 211kg in the U16 56kg competition while Armenia’s another representative, Rafik Harutyunyan, had come in second by lifting a combined weight of 204kg.

Separately, Hamlet Mnatsakanyan had won the U17 50kg competition by lifting a combined weight of 189kg.
