YEREVAN. – “I came to Armenia to preach peace with a bicycle rally. I will reach all the way to Karabakh with a bicycle rally. I will try to also cross the Azerbaijani border from Karabakh and preach peace between countries.”

Georgian amateur cyclist Nodar Beridze stated the aforementioned at a press conference in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

Beridze, who is a well-known organizer of bicycle rallies for peace, is in Armenia for a special objective.

On Thursday, the amateur cyclist will arrive in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) with a bicycle rally, and where aims to cross the Azerbaijan border and call for peace and solidarity.

And on May 28, one hundred amateur cyclists will join Nodar Beridze in Downtown Yerevan, where they will launch a huge triumphant bicycle rally to Karabakh.

Incidentally, Beridze’s bicycle has a white flag symbolizing peace, and which reads “peace” in English and Russia. The white flag also displays the national flags of countries which the Georgian amateur cyclist has visited so far. The flags of Armenia and the NKR will soon appear there, too.

And if I can’t cross the Azerbaijan border from Karabakh, I’ll return to Georgia, and then hold a separate bicycle rally in Azerbaijan.

I want for this bicycle rally to be international, so that there would be no bloodshed,” Nodar Beridze said, in particular.
