Sharapova looks forward to returning to throne
20:24 6 June, 2012Russian professional tennis player Maria Sharapova, who has entered the semifinal of the Roland Garros open tennis tournament, is happy for the opportunity to become number one world rocket again, which she might in case of winning the tournament.
“It’s great that I am one match away from the number one title. It’s nice that I am in such situation now, as a couple of years ago I was very far from it. Of course, I want to do it,” RIA Novosti quotes Sharapova.
Sharapova’s opponent will be Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova. The opponents are meeting for the fifth time and their personal score is 3:2 for Maria.
