YEREVAN. – “I will always continue to fight for the title of World Champion, until I win this title.” Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian—who is currently fifth in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions, Armenia—stated the above-said.

“The games with a draw were a lot [for me] in recent times. Now, after the bad games, I’m trying to enter into the rhythm of the recent tournaments. Chess takes up all my time. “[But] in addition to playing chess, I love to dance. I dance often. I love to dance to loud music. I dance and [also] take [dance] lessons from [my girlfriend] Arianne [Caoili],” Aronian said, in particular.

On Saturday, Armenia’s top chess grandmaster played chess with 25 children, and under the theme, “Sport for Equal Opportunities.”
