Levon Aronian opens chess school in Yerevan

YEREVAN. – Armenian GM Levon Aronian and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan opened a new chess school in one of the districts of Yerevan on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the head of Armenia's chess federation and FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.

Some 300-350 students can study at a new school.

Yerevan is hosting “Chess in Schools” international conference.
