FC Barcelona (Spain) defeated APOEL FC (Cyprus) 1-0 in their European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League group first match on Wednesday.   As a result, Barça achieved their fourteenth consecutive win in the European cups’ starters, Sport.es reported.

Now, Barcelona share the first place with Bayern Munich (Germany) in this record.    The last time when the Catalan giants had lost their European cups’ starter was back in 1999, when they were beaten 1-2 by AIK (Sweden).
