James Rodríguez signs deal with Real Madrid

FC Real Madrid (Spain) have formally announced that they have acquired Colombia national football squad and AS Monaco midfielder James Rodríguez.

The 23-year-old player on Tuesday underwent a medical at the Spanish club, and the parties signed a six-year contract. 

Rodríguez’s transfer will total €80 million, and the Colombia international will receive an annual salary of €7 million at Real.

In 2013, James Rodríguez had transferred from FC Porto (Portugal) to Monaco. He has become the top scorer, with six goals, and the scorer of the best goal in the 2014 FIFA World Cup which Brazil hosted.
