Champions League: Czech footballer repeats Messi’s record
15:07 16 July, 2014Czech national football squad and AC Sparta Prague (Czech Rep.) striker David Lafata has repeated a Champions League record by scoring five goals in one match, Sportovninoviny.cz reported.
In the second qualifying round of Europe’s most prestigious club tournament, Sparta Prague defeated at home FC Levadia Tallinn (Estonia), and by a score of 7-0.
In the past, solely Latvia international and Skonto FC (Latvia) striker Mikhail Mikholap, and Argentina national football squad captain and FC Barcelona (Spain) striker Lionel Messi had netted five goals, each, in a Champions League match.
