2014 World Cup: Messi and Hulk express support to Neymar after injury
11:46 5 July, 2014Argentina national football squad and FC Barcelona (Spain) striker Lionel Messi has expressed support to his Barça teammate and Brazil international Neymar.
Neymar suffered a serious back injury during Brazil’s 2014 World Cup quarterfinal against Colombia.
“Get well soon my friend, Neymar Jr.,” Messi, the sole four-time Ballon d’Or winner, wrote in his Facebook account.
Brazil international and FC Zenit Saint Petersburg (Russia) striker Hulk likewise expressed support to his national squad teammate.
“May GOD bless you, my brother. We [the Brazil squad] will continue to work! Entire Brazil is with you!!!” Hulk wrote in his Instagram account.
Neymar will need about six weeks to recover from his injury, and this means he will be out of action for the rest of Brazil’s matches in the World Cup which they host.
