The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has issued its rankings for July 2014.

Accordingly, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian—who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia—is still second in the new FIDE rankings.

2013 World Chess Champion, GM Magnus Carlsen (Norway), on the other hand, continues to top the list, and GM Alexander Grischuk (Russia) is third in the standings.

The Armenian national chess team has three more representatives in the world top 100 rankings; they are GMs Gabriel Sargissian (58th), Sergei Movsesian (71st), and Vladimir Akopian (95th).
