US Ambassador hands over bet payment to German counterpart

U.S. Ambassador John Heffern lost a bet on U.S. vs Germany World Cup match to his German colleague Reiner Morell.

“Handing over bet payment to GE Amb Reiner on #WorldCup2014 game last night,” Heffern tweeted.

Ambassador posted a photo where he is handing over whiskey to Reiner Morell.

“We'll meet again in final!”  he added.
