Dutch national football squad and Manchester United (England) striker Robin van Persie’s 93-year-old grandfather Wim Ras wrote the aforesaid and posted a respective photograph on the Internet, the German Bild magazine reported.
“The Flying Dutchman character is known all over the world and it has no age limits,” Ras wrote.
Robin van Persie had scored a goal with a brilliant diving header during the Netherlands’ 5-1 thrashing of Spain in their group-stage clash at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
