The A.S. Roma (Italy) management has not accepted Bayern Munich’s (Germany) bid to acquire Morocco national football team and Roma defender Mehdi Benatia, Gazzetta dello Sport reported.

According to the source, the reigning German champions have offered €33 million for the transfer of the 27-year-old player, but the Italian club found this bid to be unacceptable. Benatia’s contract with Roma runs until 2018.

In the Italian Serie A season that wrapped up, the Morocco international scored five goals in 33 appearances for his club. It was reported earlier that Mehdi Benatia could move to Manchester City (England).
