The legend of Lithuanian basketball Sarunas Marciulionis was impressed by Armenia during his visit.

Marciulionis says Armenian basketball lacks practice, basketball here has poor history and no training camp for young players.

“I am very much impressed by your country. This is my first visit to Armenia. I offered the sport minister and chairman of basketball federation to send several Armenian coaches for trainings in my academy. This will contribute to the development of basketball in your country,” he said during a press conference on Thursday.

Marciulionis is confident if young players have 40-50 games, they will be able to achieve results in several years.

“Even if you are a professional, there is always something to learn. The key to success is to never give up, no matter how tough the path was. If you have a goal, then you should never give up,” the basketball legend said.
