Darchinyan’s and Miskirtchian’s “battles of stares” with opponents (PHOTO

Armenian boxer Vic Darchinyan, who is the former world boxing champion in two weight classes, will be a bit heavier than his opponent, reigning WBA Featherweight Champion Nicholas Walters.   

The bout will be for the WBA Featherweight Championship belt, and it will take place on Saturday in Macau, China.    

Darchinyan and Walters weighed in at 57.06 and 56.92 kilograms, respectively. IBF Featherweight Champion Evgeny Gradovich and EBU Featherweight Champion, Belgian-Armenian boxer Alex Miskirtchian also will face each on the same ring; they both weighed in at 56.92 kilograms, each. 

Following the official weigh-ins, all boxers had their “battle of the stares.”
