Armenia wins 4th medal in Romania

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Vahan Nikolayan (62 kg) placed third on the second day at the 2014 European Sambo Championship, which is held in the Romanian capital city Bucharest.

As a result, Nikolayan increased Armenia’s medal tally at the tournament to four.

On Saturday, Edik Petrosyan (90 kg) and Mkhitar Mkhitaryan (57 kg) have won bronze and silver medals, respectively.

Tigran Karapetyan, on the other hand, was declared European champion in his weight category, and by defeating his Azerbaijani opponent by a score of 8-0, the Armenian Sambo Federation informed.
