Doeberl Cup 2014: Melkumyan is third

Grandmaster (GM) Hrant Melkumyan (Armenia) defeated International Master (IM) Bobby Cheng (Australia) in the final round of the O2C Doeberl Cup 2014 Premier.

The aforesaid chess tournament wrapped up in the Australian capital city Canberra.

After nine rounds, Melkumyan garnered 7 points and captured third spot.

The Armenian GM finished the tournament solely half a point behind Romania’s GM Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu and GM Levente Vajda.
