Steven Spielberg thanks Yulia Lipnitskaya

World famous filmmaker Steven Spielberg thanked Russian figure-skating star Yulia Lipnitskaya for her girl in red of Shindler's List.

Spielberg sent a letter to Lipnitskaya to thank for her performance, Eurosport.ru reported.

“I think this is equal to having an Olympic medal,” said Eteri Tutberidze, Lipnitskaya's coach.

The 15-year-old figure-skater is getting ready for the world championships that will kicк off in Japan on March 24.
