Yerevan 2014: Armenia representatives’ results

YEREVAN. – The fourth-round matches were played Thursday at the European Individual Chess Championship 2014, which is held in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.  

After four rounds, Evgeniy Najer (Russia) tops the current standings with 4 points. Three-time World Chess Olympiad champion and the previous World Team Chess champion Armenia national team members Gabriel Sargissian and Vladimir Akopian, Armenia’s newly crowned national champion Tigran Kotanjian as well as  Arman Pashikian, Robert Hovhannisyan, Gabriel Sargissian, Zaven Andriasian, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, and Karen Grigoryan have tallied 3 points, each, and they share 8th to 55th spots together with several other chess masters. 

Armenia’s women’s national team member Lilit Mkrtchian, on the other hand, has garnered 2.5 points after four rounds.
