Armenia’s GM shares 5-8th spots

YEREVAN. – Armenian Grandmaster (GM) Tigran Gharamian scored 7.5 points out of a possible 9 and shared 1st-2nd places, together with GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave of France, at the chess open held in Nancy, France. A total of 194 players took part in the tournament.

Afterward, the competitors who took 1st-8th spots continued the open with a knock-out phase. As a result, the first-place award was given to Vachier-Lagrave. Tigran Gharamian, on the other hand, shared 5-8th places, Armchess.am informs.
