Srna: Shakhtar will only benefit from departure of Mkhitaryan, Rat, Gai, Fernandinho, Willian
14:22 28 January, 2014The departure of such players as Rat, Gai, Fernandinho, Mkhitaryan, Willian caused major changes in Shakhtar’s formation.
Croatia international and FC Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) defender Darijo Srna stated the aforesaid speaking about those players, including Armenia national football squad and Borussia Dortmund (Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 25, who had left the Ukrainian club.
“This is natural. But I was sure that without them we would get even stronger! All big clubs buy and sell players. If the [Shakhtar] president and the head coach made this decision, it means that Shakhtar will only benefit from it,” the club’s official website quotes Srna as saying.
In July 2013, Henrikh Mkhitaryan transferred from Shakhtar to Dortmund for €27.5 million.
