NHL: Highlights and star of Wednesday night

Three games were played Wednesday night in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL).  

As a result of these games, the player of the day was selected.

Anaheim Ducks winger Corey Perry was recognized the first star of the Wednesday night games.   

The 28-year-old Canadian scored two goals and provided two assists in the Ducks’ game against the Vancouver Canucks.
