Armenia’s Hakobyan is world champion

Aram Hakobyan (Armenia) won the champion’s title in the boys’ U12 category of the World Youth Chess Championships 2013 for boys and girls, which is held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

In the final round, Hakobyan played a draw, as a result, he amassed 9.5 points out of a possible 11 points, and became beyond the reach of his pursuers. 

The tournament will come to an end on Saturday.
