28 Armenians to compete in World Youth Chess Championships

The World Youth Chess Championships 2013 for boys and girls will kick off Wednesday in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.   

A total of 28 young chess players will represent Armenia in the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 categories. 

The tournament is held with the Swiss format and comprises eleven rounds.

The event will wrap up on December 28.

In World Youth Chess Championships 2012, Grandmaster Hovhannes Gabuzyan (Armenia) had won a silver medal in the U18 category.
