Warsaw: 4 Armenian masters in top 10

The European Blitz Chess Championship 2013 wrapped up Friday in Polish capital city Warsaw.  The tournament winner was Grandmaster (GM) Anton Korobov (Ukraine), who tallied 18.5 points out of 22 points. 

Armenia’s four representatives were among the top ten. Accordingly, GM Gabriel Sargissian was sixth, with 16.5 points; GM Zaven Andriasian came in seventh, with same points; GM Tigran Petrosian was ninth, with 16 points; and GM Karen Grigoryan came in tenth, with 16 points.

To note, Sargissian and Petrosian are members of the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the previous World Team Chess champions, Armenian national team.
