Judo championships: Armenia’s Davtyan advances to 1/8 finals
13:37 26 April, 2012Armenian judoka have started their campaign at the European Judo Continental Championships in Russia’s Chelyabinsk.
Zhanna Stankevich (57 kg) was defeated by Concepcion Bellorin from Spain. Gayane Harutyunyan (48 kg) will face France’s Leticia Pae.
In men’s competition Hovhannes Davtyan (60 kg) has defeated his Finnish opponent and will face Iskander Ozkanoglu from Turkey in the 1/8 finals.
Armen Nazaryan (66 kg) lost his first bout to Georgia’s Lasha Shavdatuashvili.
Artyom Baghdasaryan (81 kg) and Hakob Arakelyan (100 kg) will fight on April 27 and 28 respectively.
