World Chess Team Championship: Armenia vs. Egypt

Second-round games will be played Wednesday at the men’s World Chess Team Championship 2013 being held in Antalya, Turkey.

In Round 2, three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the reining World Team Chess champions Armenia—comprising Grandmasters Levon Aronian, Sergei Movsesian, Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sargissian, and Tigran Petrosian—will face Egypt.

The second-round matches will get underway at 5pm, Armenia time.  

But Aronian—who plays first board for Armenia, and who is ranked second in the FIDE ratings—will sit out Round 2.

In Round 1, Armenia played a 2-2 draw with Russia.
