All Spartak goals were illogical – ex-footballer

Spartak’s goals cannot be explained by any football rule; they are illogical. These goals do not reflect the course of the match, stated former Zenit player Sergey Vedeneev.

The ex-footballer commented on the recent Russian Premier League game between FC Spartak Moscow and FC Zenit Saint Petersburg.

“[Zenit goalkeeper Yuri] Lodygin made a mistake in the first goal. He thought that the ball was going away, but [Armenian international and Spartak forward Yura] Movsisyan was able to score into his net with a header. Such cases do not usually end with a goal.

“I can say the same thing about the second and third goals, too. That is why I am confident that these goals are unfortunate incidents that occurred with Zenit in a short period of time,” Sport Weekend quotes Vedeneev as saying.

To note, owing to Yura Movsisyan’s hat-trick, FC Spartak Moscow defeated FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, and by a score of 4-2, in the most recent Russian Premier League match.
