In 2009 Chievo wanted to sign Mkhitaryan

Back in 2009 Chievo wanted to sign Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Calcionews24.com reported.

The Italian club wanted to reach a deal but failed due to limit to players not representing the European Union.

In 2009 Mkhitaryan was signed by Metallurg Donetsk.
