South Africa’s Semenya qualifies for London Olympics

South African runner Caster Semenya is qualified for the 800 meters at the London Olympic Games.

She showed 1 minute 59,58 seconds (for qualification 1 minute 59,9 second is necessary) during the South Africa tournament, Reuters reports.

She became famous after the scandalous incident during the world athletic championships in 2009 when her gender issue was raised.

In 2010 Semenya underwent gender verification tests. .
