Montoya wants to take Alves’ place
16:12 18 July, 2013Barcelona defender Martin Montoya hopes to fight his place in the starting eleven and has no intension to leave the club.
“I’m very happy with the playing time I got last year and this year I hope to get more minutes. I’ll have to work hard to earn a place.
My aim is to remain here as I’m at the best team in the world. From being small I’ve always wanted to play here. I’ve got a year left on my contract so we’ll see.
This year I hope to be a threat and intend to fight daily with Dani Alves for a regular place”, Football Espana quotes Montoya.
The 22-year-old participated in15 matches of Spanish championship in the last season and scored 1 goal.
