Illarramendi moves to Real Madrid for €39 million

Spain’s FC Real Madrid acquired U23 national team and Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illarramendi, 23, Marca reports. 

The transfer fee totaled €30 million plus €9 million in bonuses.  

The news about signing a five-year deal with the player is expected to be formally announced in the coming hours. The annual salary of the footballer will be €2.5 million.    

To note, Asier Illarramendi played in 32 games and provided one assist for Real Sociedad in the 2012/13 season of the Spanish La Liga.
