Mkhitaryan graced wins and positive emotions to Shakhtar, and the Donetsk club made Henrikh a true player, who has now moved to Borussia Dortmund, said well-known Russian football agent Dmitry Selyuk.

He reflected on Armenian national football team midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s transfer from Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk to Germany’s Borussia Dortmund.

“I took part in Mkhitaryan’s move to Shakhtar three years ago. I am happy for this because he graced wins and positive emotions to Shakhtar, [and, in its turn,] Shakhtar made Henrikh a true player, who has now moved to Borussia Dortmund. That is why I believe this transfer was convenient for everyone.

“Liverpool [F.C. of England] were interested in his services since a long time; they were prepared to pay €25 million for Mkhitaryan. [But] Borussia set a transfer record by paying €27.5 million for Henrikh. [In addition,] Mkhitaryan’s transfer brought Shakhtar fame in the world arena,” Terrikon.com quotes Selyuk as saying.
