Armenia wins silver medal

YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s—or Artsakh’s—Mavrik Nasibyan (74 kg), who represents Armenia, won a silver medal in the Sambo World Cup stage memorial tournament, which was held in the Russian capital, Moscow.    

The cup stages of the 2012 season were summed up likewise in Moscow on March 23 and, as a result, Armenian Olympic Sambo and Judo School Artsakh Branch trainee Ashot Danielyan captured second place and received the respective medal, diploma, and monetary award.

Also, Armenian Sambo wrestlers Aram Khamayan, Arsen Khanjyan, Shoghik Tsaturyan and Susanna Mirzoyan, who represent Russia, won gold medals; Gayane Harutyunyan (Russia) and Vahe Tutkhalyan (Belarus) came in second, whereas, Galina Hambardzumyan of Russia captured bronze medal in the tournament, the Sambo Federation of Armenia informs.
