Armenian national football team’s retired captain becomes assistant coach

YEREVAN. – Armenian national football squad’s legendary captain Sargis Hovsepyan, who recently retired from the game, will be among the coaching staff of capital city Yerevan’s FC Pyunik and assist the club’s acting head coach and national team manager Vardan Minasyan, Pyunik’s official website informs.    

To note, former Pyunik player Artur Mkrtchyan, Varazdat Avetisyan, and Ashot Avetisyan likewise are Minasyan’s assistants at the club.
