Spanish champions Barcelona have matched a 100-year-old record by scoring 60 goals in 15 matches, the club’s press office reports. The Catalan side reached this milestone following a 3–0 victory over Aston Villa in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase.

The last time Barcelona demonstrated such a high level of scoring output was in the 1926/1927 season, when the club netted 69 goals across 15 matches.
