Inter secured a comeback victory in stoppage time (video)
17:33 25 October, 2026In the 8th round of the Italian Serie A, reigning champions and cup holders Inter hosted Fiorentina in Milan, securing a comeback 2–1 victory in stoppage time.
In the 65th minute, the visitors' Spanish defender, Alejandro Jimenez, scored a goal (video).
Inter’s equalizer came in the first minute of stoppage time, courtesy of French forward Marcus Thuram (video).
In the 7th minute of stoppage time, the Milan side’s Polish midfielder, Piotr Zielinski, successfully converted a penalty kick (video).
Former captain of the Armenian national team, 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, was in Inter's starting lineup and was substituted in the 78th minute.
Inter leads the league table with 22 points. Fiorentina sits in 18th place with 4 points.
