Flick: It was a fantastic match, but PSG showed that they are stronger than us
11:04 21 October, 2026The German head coach of Spanish champions Barcelona Hans-Dieter Flick commented on his team's 2–4 defeat the French champions PSG, in the third round of the Champions League.
This marks the Catalan side's first defeat of the current season.
"It was a fantastic match, but PSG showed that they were stronger than us. They executed transitions from defense to attack with great quality, and they also looked fresher than us in the final 15 minutes.
But that’s no excuse. We didn’t have the best preparation for this game. We need to analyze everything and improve. We lost, but we’ve learned some lessons," Flick said, as quoted by AS.
PSG currently leads the table with 9 points, while Barcelona has 6 points.
