Mkrtchyan’s goal saves Nurnberg from defeat

In a matchday 8 fixture of the German 2. Bundesliga, Nurnberg played to a 1–1 draw away against Energie Cottbus (video).

Armenian national team defender Styopa Mkrtchyan, who had come on as a substitute in the 66th minute, scored for the visitors in the 78th minute.

Nürnberg has now collected 18 points and sits in second place in the league standings.
