Yeghishe Melikyan: We already have 14 losses
22:44 4 October, 2026The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, spoke about the personnel problems ahead of the match in the fourth round of the Nations League group stage against Montenegro.
“We already have 14 losses. The biggest problem is that this is the fourth game, for which we need a lot of resources, but in any case, we have players who will take to the field to fight. We have a plan for how we should play.” Montenegro has a good team, but we will also strive to show our best performance.
We must be ready for the pressure from the fans. Yes, we are one of the youngest teams in Europe, and it will be difficult, but I believe in my team. We have made a lot of changes for this game. We will be doing something new in terms of our tactics. Tomorrow we will see how it all turns out,” said Yeghishe Melikyan.
The Montenegro–Armenia match will take place on October 5 in Podgorica and will start at 22:45 Armenia time.
