Former Manchester United defender has joined Porto

Former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling will continue his career at Porto, the Portuguese club's press service has announced.

The 36-year-old player has signed a contract running until the end of the season, with an option to extend for another year. He joined the Portuguese club as a free agent.

Smalling’s previous team was the Saudi club Al-Fayha, his contract there expired on July 1, 2026. From 2010 to 2020, the defender played for Manchester United, making 323 appearances and scoring 18 goals. Transfermarkt values ​​him at €1 million.
