Aubameyang suffers meniscus injury and will have surgery

Spanish club Deportivo's forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sustained a severe knee injury and will undergo surgery, the La Coruna club's website reports.

The 37-year-old Gabonese footballer suffered a meniscus injury and will be sidelined for several months.

Aubameyang sustained the injury during the La Liga Matchday 7 game against Betis (1–1), which took place on September 20.

In the current season, Aubameyang has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 7 matches.
